Charity Work
Every year we review which charities the school is going to raise awareness and funds for. Fundraising might be linked to current events locally or nationally. The school continues to sponsor children through Action Aid and regularly collects for local food banks and charities and on an annual basis we run fundraising activities for Red Nose Day, Children in Need, the Macmillan Coffee Morning and donate to mental health charities as part of Blue Monday.
Working in the Community
We also have organised funding to work with the local community to offer free sporting sessions to local children. Our Hoops at Six is a free drop in basketball class for children aged 10 years and over. Plus we work with Inspirational Youth to deliver Ju Jitsu lessons designed to help build resilience and self-awareness.
