Healthy Schools

At Telferscot, promoting healthy lifestyles is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to be a Healthy School and to have achieved the Bronze Healthy Schools Award in recognition of our commitment to supporting pupils' physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Healthy habits are taught and discussed throughout our curriculum, including in PE, PSHE, Design and Technology, and Forest School, where children learn about nutrition, physical activity, wellbeing, healthy relationships, resilience and making positive lifestyle choices. Through active playtimes, sporting opportunities, outdoor learning experiences and healthy eating initiatives, we encourage children to develop lifelong habits that support their overall health and wellbeing.
We are also delighted to have recently achieved second place nationally in the Eat Them to Defeat Them campaign, earning a Silver Award for our commitment to promoting healthy eating and encouraging children to try and enjoy a wide variety of vegetables. This achievement reflects the enthusiasm of our pupils, staff and families in working together to make healthy choices. By embedding wellbeing across school life, we strive to create a happy, healthy environment where every child can flourish and reach their full potential.
