Telferscot has a Parent Staff Association (PSA)
The PSA is a registered charity working in partnership with the school. The PSA aims to help improve the social and learning environment of all the children at school.
As a parent/guardian with a child at Telferscot you are also a member of the PSA. The PSA has a formal committee which usually meets twice a term. These are open meetings and any parent/guardian can attend. Meetings are generally held in the morning after drop off in the School House, during Pop Up Café and are a great way to get to know other parents.
There are class representatives for each class, who co-ordinate information and organise parents/guardians to help at PSA events. The PSA organises a variety of events throughout the year. The profits raised from cake sales through to the Summer Fair go towards a variety of things (just take a look at the picture on the next page to see what happens) and includes a termly class fund for each teacher.
Splat! Parents, children and staff join in the fun at the Summer Fair.
How You Can Help Out...
Can you spare some time? Volunteers are always needed at PSA events, whether it is helping out on a stall, setting up or clearing away. You can give as much or as little time as you are able. Just come along to the meetings or you can email us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also sign up to Class List - This is similar to Facebook (but private and secure) and we would like as many parents/ carers to sign up as possible. Please sign up via the app and keep informed of what we are up to!
You can now also follow us on Facebook.
You can read further details here about other ways you can help your PSA.
