Smart Phone Policy

From September 2025 children are not permitted to bring smartphones to Telferscot.

This means that personal devices should only have a call and text function. Some devices might have limited connection to the internet to allow location or tracking capabilities. This is so children can be tracked on their independent journeys to and from school for their safety and for their parent/carer's piece of mind.

Pupils are not permitted to use their mobile device during the school day. All devices are to be handed in to the teacher at the start of the school day where they will be stored securely. At the end of the day, pupils will have their devices returned to them.

If a child attends an Extended Club after school, they will hand their device to the supervising adult. This will then be returned to them when they are due to go home.
