Welcome back to the 6LA class blog, families, friends and fans!
As you will know, this is an exciting term for 6LA with upcoming topics in Geography, where we will be learning about the human and physical geography of countries around the world; Science, where we will be studying how electricity works and visiting the Science Museum to undertake their 'Electrifying Electricity Trail'; RE where we will be learning about pilgrimage in Christianity and how that compares to the Hajj in Islam which we studied in the first Autumn term and Design and Technology, where we will be creating a working pulley-toy with our lovely premises manager Pete!
This week we are busily preparing for our class assembly, which is taking place on Friday at 3pm. Here you will be able to learn more about what we have been working on in our Black History Month topic and marvel at our wonderful singing, dancing and acting!
Do remember that next week we have our parent conferences taking place after school on Wednesday (4-7pm) and Thursday (4-6.30pm)- it will be lovely to check in with all families to share how well our class are doing in Year 6!
For those who like a spoiler, check out this Newsround clip which will be featuring in our class assembly on Friday: https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/49883230
Until next time, have a great week!
