Year 6 SC

High Fliers

25 Jan 2019

Good Morning all,

Thank you to everyone who visited our Open House on Friday, it was so lovely to see everyone and the children sharing all of their fantastic topic learning. The children loved making their WW2 inspired planes from chicken wire and modroc and due to excellent teamwork there were minimal injuries!

The children were also lucky enough to have a trip to the BFI to watch 'A Cat in Paris' and practice their French vocab on Tuesday. There were over 400 children at the event where we learnt all about the birth of cinematography. Did you know that many original films were only a few minutes long?

Another exciting event for your diaries is Careers week which begins 18th March 2019. Everyone is invited to come in and share their careers with the children in the form of a workshop or a Q&A (if pressed for time!). Please let us know if you can come in and inspire the children who will be invited to dress up for their ideal job at the end of the week. We would love to hear from you!

The children are all very about the trip to RAF Hendon on Tuesday 30th January - Don't forget your packed lunches!
