Year 5HB

Autumn 1 done!

16 Oct 2019

Hello everyone, I can't believe that our first half term is already over!

We have had such a fantastic year so far. It has been an absolute pleasure teaching and getting to know 5HB and becoming a team! Our most recent advernture this week took us to The Exchange theatre in Twickenham for a workshop to improve a scene from our play.

We have been super busy over the term, with our Hamlet rehearsals, Buddhism topic, John Sokol art, our crime scene investigation and our study of Maya Angelou. And what better way to end the term than with our all singing, all dancing class assembly. Autumn 2 will be filled with many, equally exciting, things!

As we hit the ground running with Autumn 2, in the first three weeks we will be reading Holes by Louis Sachar. Over half term, it would be a great idea to pop down to the local library and loan the book, and/or watch the film. The trailer can be found below!

Finally, don't forget it is our Harvest assembly 9:00-9:20 this Friday - come along to find out about our food collection pledge and please bring your donations. You are then invited to our Open House from 9:20-9:45, and of course our class assembly at 3!

See you then!
