Another busy week to round off the term, 6LA children, friends and families!
THis week in our computing lessons, we have been developing and finalising our TV adverts to promote the recent success of Telferscot's Got Talent. It has certainly been entertaining as a teacher to see the various groups secretly filming themselves around the school with a variety of bejewelled, jazzy or arguably fearsome props and costumes. I can't wait to share some of the winning performances!
In our English this week, we have rounded off our learning on WW2 by writing a newspaper report on VE day, when peace was declared across Europe. We've also found out about Joseph- an American soldier- who discussed the impact that the war has had on him even into his 80s. Why not see for yourselves at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trmG0mgrkM8?
Finally in our Science lessons we have been learning about light and how it travels into our eyes, as well as what the different parts of the eyes do to process that light. It has been fascinating to see how something so mundane is actually so complex- check out more information on this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syaQgmxb5i0
Remember that next week is half term and although it is an opportunity to have plenty of rest and take part in lots of different exciting activities (I myself will be spending a few days in Norfolk and Bath!), there is always SATS preparation that needs to be undertaken.
We can't wait to see you all in just over a week's time!
Happy Thursday one and all,
Mr Anderson and Ms Russell
